Each month we conduct a photo contest to find our monthly featured child. The winner or winners of the contest will be featured on the website for a month, and will also be featured on that month’s edition.

The photo contest is conducted the week before the edition is available through Facebook. Entries must be made through Facebook by posting to the Complex Child Timeline, sending us a message, or emailing submit@complexchild.org. One photo per child per month may be entered.

By entering your photo, you consent for the photo to be used on the Complex Child Facebook Timeline, Twitter, and any page on our websites, including complexchild.com, complexchild.org, and kidswaivers.org.

Photos are judged by a panel of judges, including special needs parents, photographers, and young adults with complex needs. Each chooses his/her top choices, and the photo with the most votes wins. Ties are decided by the editor. Complex Child reserves the right to choose multiple winners. A child may also win the contest multiple times.

The following types of photos will be disqualified: professional photos (unless parent is the photographer), photos that are blurry at 400×300, photos with text or other alterations, collages, screenshots that cannot be cropped, photos with unacceptable nudity, and photos that do not meet the theme of the month.
